Folio. xvi, xxviii, 138 pp. Publisher's black pebbled cloth with bevelled edges, inscribed on the title page by the editor "To Lady Parish, with best love from W.D.P.", and a handwritten slip affixed to the half title from Parish to the same recipient, next to this a press cutting from the same year regarding "The Domesday Commemoration" in London. Frontispiece colour map of the county plus 28 pages of a facsimile of the original record in red and black. Very good. The note reads "I am sending you a dutiful present of my Domesday book, which I hope you will accept as a sort of family curiosity... It is the first I have had, except my own subscription copy...
