First edition, later impression, 4to, 81 leaves printed on one side only, followed by 14 "General Directions" and 88 "List of Places" pp. Five leaves (title, dedication, general map, explanation and scale) bound in at the front as called for. Hand coloured outlining and highlighting throughout with the general map fully coloured, small piece from the outer margin of leaf 23 torn away. 20th century half calf, marbled sides, a few marks to spine. A handsomely printed map, or atlas in all but name. "This appears to be the first map upon which the meridian of Greenwich is substituted for that of London (or, more exactly, St. Paul's Cathedral), which had been in use on English maps from its introduction... in 1676."
