Paris Charles Beranger, 1905. Map dimensions 103 x 109.5 cm, overall 111 x 116.5 cm. A very striking large folding colour printed geological map of France, key to the colouring to the lower left corner, the title above partially obscured by a typed sheet regarding "Petroleum Indicators of France" by the American geologist Eugene Law Ickes with a hand drawn key, some further annotations to the map, Ickes' handwritten signature appears in the lower margin, dissected into 24 sections and mounted on linen, early mapseller's printed label to one panel on the verso, this also signed and dated by Ickes, an oversize green cloth slipcase with a gilt lettered red spine label. Slipcase somewhat worn and cracked though it remains sound, the map in very good condition. Item #37544
