Large 8vo. 88 pp. Publisher's light blue cloth, dark blue lettering to the spine and upper cover, dust jacket, early gift inscription to the front free endpaper with (presumably) the recipient's plain book label adjacent. 10 black and white plates. Wear and tear to the edges of the jacket with some losses, small old tape repairs at various points on the verso, the book generally very good. A very early work by the artist who later gained fame by illustrating the likes of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Item #36697
