Two volumes. 4to. xxxii, (xii), vi, (ii), 355, (1); xii, 388 pp. Nineteenth century full calf, the boards with gilt ruled panels with blindstamped decoration, rebacked to style in a close matching leather, spines with raised bands, twin gilt lettered labels. Frontispiece and two portraits of Cervantes plus 60 of 66 plates only. Some wear to the boards, contents fairly evenly browned throughout, semicircular dampstain to the gutter of the last 10 leaves of volume II, margins trimmed close affecting the imprint of the plates. The first edition of Jervas' important translation of this celebrated work. Item #49786
