Publisher's green cloth backed colour illustrated boards on a design by MacCarthy, gilt lettered to the spine, Anne Olivier Bell's copy inscribed to her by the illustrator - "To Olivier on her Birthday, June 2006. With much love and affection from Sophie", plain green slipcase. Colour plates by MacCarthy and, as per the original edition, black and white illustrations by Minton. Slight marking to the slipcase, else very good. Anne Olivier Bell (1916-2018) was an esteemed art scholar and the wife of the Bloomsbury scion Quentin Bell. As well as assisting Quentin in his influential biography of Virginia Woolf, she also edited Woolf's diaries, published by the Hogarth Press between 1977 and 1984 and was the president of the Charleston Trust for many years.
