London: A. Bryant, May 2nd, 1829. Large folding county map in two parts, the map dimensions of each measuring 129.5 x 75.5 cm, i.e. 129.5 x 151 cm if conjoined, original wash colour in block and outline, each part dissected into 24 sections, mounted on linen and trimmed with green silk, green paper panels to the fold end sections, housed within contemporary book style two part box of tan full calf, gilt to the spine. Some light wear to the case, a handsome example. With a large decorative calligraphic title cartouche to the upper left corner of the western part and a large vignette of Beverley Minster to the lower left; the eastern part features a large table listing the ecclesiastical divisions of the region to the upper right and the explanatory key to the lower left.
