(viii), iv, 23, (1) pp. Contemporary blue half morocco over marbled boards, the upper cover featuring a publisher's printed title label, early ownership inscription to the front pastedown, another later gift inscription to the opposing free endpaper. Engraved second title with vignette plus 13 full page maps, 5 double page maps, a plan of the Temple and a plan of the city of Jerusalem, all with attractive original handcolouring. Neat repairs to the spine ends, the boards lightly worn, very good. The maps are drawn by Assheton and Wyld amongst others. The earlier date appears on the engraved title, the later one on the letterpress title. Item #41284
