Rangoon: C. Bennett, American Baptist Mission Press, 1868. Second edition. 8vo. iv, (10)-968 pp. Contemporary full sheep, rebacked to style with a gilt lettered red spine label. Some light spotting to the endpapers, slight bowing to the boards, very good overall. Considerably expanded from the original edition of 1852 published in Maulmain (now Mawlamyine). Judson also issued an English to Burmese dictionary in 1849. Versions of his Burmese dictionaries continued to be published into the 20th century, none of the early editions are common. Despite the small gap in the pagination - probably due to the use of old sheets from the prior edition - the book appears to be complete and collates identically to the copy held in the London Library.
