Limited edition, no. 23 of 25 copies, signed and numbered by Griffin on the upper board, supplied with an original 10 x 8 silver print, dated (1985) and titled "Sliced Bread" by the photographer on the verso. Large 8vo. Publisher's yellow cloth backed plain card boards, marbled endpapers, plain glassine wrapper held in original plain grey box with an explanatory sheet detailing the publishing history of the work. 21 photographic plates, on unopened leaves so very difficult to view. An excellent example. Originally self published in 1986 in what was intended to be an edition of 350. However, the complicated nature of the book's design meant that the project lost impetus and much of the edition remained unissued. The balance of the edition went into storage until 2012 when it was republished, as here in an edition of 25 copies (a further edition of 65 copies was issued without the print). Item #35172
