Armorial bookplate of James Ibbetson (1717-1781), Archdeacon of St. Albans, in volume III with his inscription to the fly leaf in volume I and his bookplate mostly removed opposite, other 18th and 19th century inscriptions to fly leaves. Contemporary vellum with yapp edges, later manuscript title to spines and an armorial device to upper covers, slightly rubbed, spines browned, some mostly light marking. Overall a well preserved set.
