Subscriber's edition. 8vo. 1184 pp. Original green full morocco, spine with gilt ruled raised bands, gilt lettered to one panel plus gilt lettering and decoration to the upper board, marbled endpapers, author and publisher's signed bookplate to the front pastedown. Illustrations throughout, mostly black and white, some folding. An excellent copy. Usually issued in a blue cloth binding - this is evidently a deluxe issue, possibly for presentation, although not marked as such. Item #32441
