Photographic portraits of Bernier and Louis Philippe Brodeur plus 45 photographic plates. Fading to the spine and head of the upper board, very good. The first and rarest of three officially published accounts of Bernier's explorations in the Arctic archipelago. In total Bernier undertook twelve voyages in the region between 1906 and 1925, before he was forced to abandon the Arctic due to damage from the ice accrued over the years. Item #29348
