(ii), viii, 250 pp. Later quarter calf over marbled boards with vellum corner tips, armorial bookplate of Sir Maurice Fitzgerald to the front pastedown. Engraved portrait of the Shakespeare by A. Bannerman to the title page. Browning to the edges of the front and rear endpapers only, very good overall. Sir Maurice Fitzgerald, 20th Knight of Kerry, 2nd Baronet of Valentia. The name of his seat, "Buckland House", is given on the bookplate. Jaggard, 435, who states that this edition follows the arrangement of the 1640 edition of Shakespeare's Poems with the addition of a list of contents. It was published in the same style as Capell's edition of the Works published 1767-68, suggesting that this could have been a supplement to the set by the same editor. Item #27847
