[Sindh, Northern Gujurat and Western Rajasthan].

Calcutta: Survey of India Office, 1926. Overall dimensions 148.5 x 171 cm. Large folding composite map made from sheets of several editions of the Survey of India, the main body of the map (91 x 167 cm) covering the extents from just beyond Mehrabpur in the north west across to Jodhpur in the north east down to the Gulf of Cutch where the map narrows down to show the western extremity of Gujurat (44 x 96.5 cm), the general map generally featuring sparse old outline colour, but the boundaries of nine "talukas" have been more brightly demarcated and numbered with a corresponding hand drawn key to the lower left corner. Dissected into 54 sections and mounted on linen, buff paper to the folded end sections with a printed label to one side giving the scale (4 miles to the inch) plus some manuscript annotations, an early pencilled inscription on another panel of the linen verso reads "Property of the Kutch Durbar". Browning to a few of the composite sheets, the linen reinforced along some of the folds, very good overall. Item #34269
