London: Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1917. 8vo. xxxi, (3), 331, (1) pp. Contemporary Arts and Crafts style binding in brown full morocco, spine with raised bands and black and brown labels, gilt triangular devices to the other compartments and gilt ruled panels to the upper board, the central part with a gilt scrolled border with gilt dots and cornerpieces (a similar design to the lower board), gilt lettering to all four sides with two lines from Arnold's "Memorial Verses" written on Wordsworth death in 1850: "He laid us as we lay at birth / On the cool flowery lap of earth", hand-painted endpapers, the top and fore edge also painted in the same abstract manner. Remnants of two ?school labels to the verso of the rear free endpaper, a handwritten accession number to the verso of the title page, with no other markings the contents have otherwise remained clean, a handsome volume.
